Most of us in first world countries have a choice about whether to rest more in our lives, even though it often feels like we don’t because we are unable to allow ourselves to rest either because of trauma, a busy mind or because of our conditioning. There are however many people in this world, who do not have this choice and are forced to continue with the grind. Those in poverty, those in minority groups, single mothers, those with chronically sick children and refugees are just some examples.
With rest the world, when those who do have the privilege to rest, rest, they also help those who don’t have the privilege to rest.
This works either by donating a percentage of our profits from our courses to charities that support those without privilege to give them respite from the harshness of their lives or we will stock items in our shop that are made by schemes helping and again donate some of those profits to these kinds of causes.
So we support you to rest and at the same time you support others to rest- allowing yourself to rest allows others to rest.
